Converter to Separate Brake and Turn Signals on Trailer
Question:
I am looking for an adapter to isolate my trailer’s side turn signals from coming on with the brake lights. Does such an adapter exist?

Expert Reply:
It sounds like you are looking to separate out your combined brake and turn signals on your trailer, and there is a part which will allow you to do that, though it isn't an adapter.
What you will need is to wire in a 2-to-3 converter, and there are two of these which will do the job for you:
- Curt 2-To-3-Wire Tail Light Converter # C56196
- Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # 118158
I have added links below to video reviews and instructions for you to check out as well.
