Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for Towing 2018 Toyota RAV4
Question:
I am not someone who is “car smart” at all so I was curious what you would recommend for a 2018 Rav 4 as far as towing. I obviously need a tow hitch but I am curious what other products I need as well. I believe I need wiring, and if you could leave a link to any products from start to finish that would be needed that would be great! I would have to take it in somewhere because I have no idea how to do it. Moving- I need to buy towing equipment for 2018 my Rav 4

The basics for towing a trailer with your 2018 Toyota RAV4 are a hitch and wiring like you mentioned so you are definitely on the right track. For a hitch the Curt part # C13406 is a really great option with plenty of towing capacity and is also mostly hidden.
For wiring the Tekonsha kit part # 118578 is our most reliable option would work the best.
Since you mentioned this is for moving most likely you are going to be renting a trailer. Most trailer rental places are going to allow you to borrow a ball mount and hitch ball so I'd check with them first. I have options that would work but without knowing how tall the trailer will be I would hate to recommend you a ball mount and have it not be correct rise/drop to tow trailer level.
