Bike Rack with Integrated Pin Compatible with Malone Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver
Question:
Looking at the photos for MPG544. In the section called In Use, 5th image, it shows a close up with an item in the upper hitch. That item seems to be used a coated flexible pin that attaches to the side of the device. I need to buy one of those cable or coated type pins and not sure how to look it up.

The photo of the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver # MPG544 features a Thule bike rack that has that integrated pin (Auto Pin/AutoAttach system) you are referencing installed in the upper receiver. This bike rack is the Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike Platform Rack TH83JV. This locking system is specific to Thule racks but there are other locking mechanisms available that are universal, like # 63232. As long as your hitch accessory has a hollow shank, that allows the metal block to be inserted inside the receiver, this will work well with any hitch mounted accesory.
If you're looking for a locking mechanism for a specific brand of bike rack, please let me know what brand and model you have so I can make a different recommendation.
