Is There A Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2009 Ford F-150 with 5-1/2' Bed
Question:
Is there a way to install this hitch so that it is quick connect and leaves an unobstructed bed when taken out? Sort of like the B&W companion?

I do have a sliding 5th wheel hitch that will work on a 2009 Ford F-150 with 5-1/2' bed, the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # DM8550040 which has a unique auto-slide mechanism that won't require you to get out of the truck each time you need to make a sharp turn. In order to use this, you'll need the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit part # DM8552004-71.
Please note, most sliding 5th wheel hitches don't provide enough front to back travel to offer clearance on a model with 5-1/2' bed but the above option will and the only one I am aware of. The other option would be to use a fixed 5th wheel hitch and rotating pin box if applicable.
