What Circuit of 2015 Chevy Silverado Connects to Trailer Battery

Question:

WHERE IS TRAILER BATTERY POWER HOOKED UP ON TRUCK

The 1:00 pin of the 7-way at the rear of your 2015 Chevy Silverado is the circuit that would connect to and charge the trailer battery. On a Silverado like yours this circuit can sometimes not be active but with a few connections under the hood the circuit will be active.

If you check out the attached help article you can see how this connection would get made on a truck like yours.

If it truly is a bad connector then it's possible not to have power at any of the pins. Did you test the actual wiring behind the 7-way connector? If you don't have any power to any of those wires and you checked all the appropriate fuses under the hood (see your owner's manual for trailer function fuse locations) then I honestly think you're best bet is to bring the truck up to a local dealer to have them take a look.

I'm not able to track down a diagram for the factory wiring on your truck - you might have better lock taking the truck up to a local dealer. Factory wiring can be pretty hard to test and access since most of it will be pretty well hidden. It might be easier to start by testing the wiring just behind the 7-Way to see if you get power there. The issue could be as simple as a bad 7-Way, which can be easily replaced.

The FAQ article linked below should help you out with making connections under the hood of your Silverado. I'm not quite sure what type of diagram you are looking for. Is it just the 12V pin on the 7-Way that you're needing to activate, or do you need to add a whole new wiring harness and connector?
