Recommended U-bolts With Longer Threaded Portion For 3" Axle and 1-3/4" Thick Leaf Spring

Question:

I have a 3500 axle on a popup camper that has been bent multiple time due to the large offroad tires and maxed out SC to HF dimensions. I have bought a new axle with a larger 3tube but the leaf stack is the original 1.75inch 3 leaf setup rated for 1750. I am running into u-bolt kits that dont fit because the shorter stack doesnt seem to work well with the 3inch nominal dimensions of u-bolts. The u-bolt tend not to be threaded enough, so the nut maxes out on the bolt and the nut isnt contacting the shackle plate. This Lippert shock kit seems similar to what came stock on my Jayco Baja 10z, except for this one is for the 3inch axle which I now have. I am mostly interested in the threaded length, and overall length of the u-bolts.

The U-bolts that come with Lippert Components Bolt-On Shock Kit w/ Heavy Duty Gas Shocks part # LC281281 measured a length of right at 7-1/8 inches and the thread measures 2 inches in length. I have attached a diagram for your reference.

I recommend to use the Replacement U-Bolt w/Nuts for 5,200-lb, 6,000-lb and 7,000-lb Trailer Axles part # 176500 with the Shock Kit. These U-bolts measure 7-1/4" long and the threaded portion measures 3-1/16". That is the longest U-bolt for a 3" axle we carry.
