Comparing Lippert Bolt On Shock Kit and SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs For Single Axle Jayco TT

Question:

Have a single axle Jayco travel trailer and Im tired of the way it rocks from side to side. Based on your knowledge, customer feedback etc., which system would fix this problem the best. If they are fairly equal to the task Id like to know that also. Thanks.

I would be happy to help!

For your Jayco Single Axle Travel Trailer a shock kit like the Lippert Bolt On Shock Kit # LC281281 will hands down be the best option to prevent side to side rocking of the trailer. The SumoSprings # TSS-107-40 you were looking at do a similar job, but do not do it quite as well as shocks.

Now to determine the correct shock kit for your trailer it will come down to the rating of your axle. If you have a 3500lb axle that is 2-3/8" in diameter I recommend the # LC281255, and for 5200-7000lb axle that is 3" in diameter you would need the # LC281281 instead.

Both kits will require your leaf springs to be above the leaf springs, so if yours are not you will need over-under kit # K71-384-00 for 2-3/8" diameter axles, or # K71-385-00 for 3" diameter axles.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
