Fit of Buyers Products 3375201000 EZ Gate Tailgate Assist on Trailer With 3 Foot Tall Sides
Question:
I have a trailer that has 3 foot high sides that are made of diamond plate steel. There are no side top rails. Can this product be adapted for my trailer? I can send you a photo of the trailer if it is necessary. If this wont work can you tell of another product? Thank You.

Since the lift assist is designed to be mounted 12-18 inches above the floor of the trailer, the # 3375201000 Buyer's Products EZ Gate Tailgate Assist might require a bit of ingenuity to install. The lift assembly is held to the trailer on each side with 3 clips. You'll want to make sure that each clip is secured to a structural member within the sidewall of the trailer, not just the diamond plate. If that isn't possible, you could use a length of angle iron that's secured to the sidewall structural members tie the clips into the angle iron.
