Using 2-1/2 Inch to 2 Inch Receiver Reducer # C45405 to Flat Tow Vehicle
Question:
The receiver for my tow vehicle a 1999 Gulfstream diesel pusher has a 2 1/2 inch diameter. All of the tow bars I have researched including the Blue Ox Alpha are advertised for a 2inch receiver. Is there an adapter available for the Blue Ox Alpha or must I look at a tow dolly instead? I will be towing a 2005 Saturn Ion manual transmission. Thank-you

Expert Reply:
A hitch reducer like the Curt # C45405 can be used to reduce your hitch opening from 2-1/2 inches to 2 inches so it will accept the shank of your Alpha Tow Bar and allow you to safely tow your Saturn Ion.
