Does Curt Trailer Hitch # C13120 Contact the Exhaust on a 2012 Kia Sportage SX
Question:
One review says this fits perfectly, the other says that it touches the exhaust, which is a problem. I have a 2012 Sportage SX

From what we have learned, if you have an SX Turbo model 2012 Kia Sportage, there is some exhaust contact. There are a few different things you can try to reduce or eliminate rattle if it happens at all. I have included a link to an FAQ article that covers the various methods. I have also included a link to the installation instructions for you.
If you plan on doing some towing, the recommended parts are:
Ball mount, # D-4
Pin and Clip, # PC3
1-7/8 inch ball, # 19260
2 inch ball, # 19247
2-5/16 inch ball, # 63847
Trailer wiring, # 118526 (instructions linked)
If you will be using the hitch for a bike rack or cargo carrier, Curt states that you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 for their warranty requirements. The strap reduces stress on the trailer hitch.
