How to Tighten/Loosen a Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Assembly
Question:
Which way do you spin the wheel???
asked by: Richard T
Expert Reply:
To initially tighten a Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Assembly, like part # 23-468, you need to spin the wheel downwards (when looking at it from the backside) with a brake adjustment spoon # W80630 or flat screwdriver.
If you are needing to loosen them up then you will use your brake adjustment spoon or a flat screwdriver to press down on the silver tab (yellow arrow) that keeps the wheel (green arrow) in place. With that pressed down use another spoon or screwdriver and rotate the wheel upwards (from the backside),or the same direction that the green arrow is pointing. This will loosen up your brakes and you can then adjust them as necessary for your application.
