Today we're going to be taking a look at part number SLL72AB2. This is the Optronics Sealed Six Inch Oval Directional LED Warning Light. The amber six inch oval light is a strobing light. Again, it's a directional warning light. You can use two function one lights for synchronous flash, or you can use one, function one and one function two light for alternating flash. It's going to feature a nice sealed housing and lens, so it's going to make the unit waterproof. This is designed to be a grommet mount installation.
It's going to contain 22 amber LED's. We're going ahead and take a look at the measurements real quick. Starting with the overall length, it's going to give us a measurement from edge-to-edge of about 6 3/8 of an inch. The width is going to give us a measurement of about 2 1/8, and then the depth, that's going to give us a measurement from the from the front of the lens to the back of the plug, we're looking at about 1 3/4 of an inch. The LED is light is going to draw 0.448 amps at 12.8 volts. It is designed to work with 12 volt, or 24 volt systems.
It's Department of Transportation approved. That also requires a pigtail harness, part number A45PB, that's going to be sold separately. That's going to be your 3-prong plug, and the grommet is part number A70GB, that's sold separately as well. Both of those items are required for a complete installation. Optronics is going to put a lifetime warranty on the LED's. I want to go ahead and hook it up to our external power source, that way you can see what it looks like with power running to it.
I'm simply going to take our 3-prong plug, place it into the connection points here on the back of the light. Give it a good push for a nice tight seal. You can see here it sends out a really nice consistent signal. The LED lights, very quick response time. They're also going to be a great upgrade from incandescent lights, as they last longer, burn brighter, and they're much more efficient. That's going to do it for our review of part number SLL72AB2.

Accepts 3-prong plug.I purchased these lights for the rear of my work vehicle, they work great, lots of light to the back of the truck, the only thing I was disapointed about was the off camber light. not that bright if you are just to the right or left of the light during daylight hours. but if you are right behind they are bright.
Was exactly what I was looking for at a great price. Most of the ones I looked at were only spot welded. This one is solid.
