High Amperage Quick Disconnect Setup for Back of Tow Vehicle to Trailer
Question:
Looking at the Redarc charger to charge my trailer 200Ahr batteries from my 2014 Ram 2500 tow vehicle. It looks like a good system. They want the Redarc mounted in the trailer close to the house batteries. However it requires an additional high current connector from the trailer to the tow vehicle. This connector would have +12V and -gnd directly from the vehicle battery, and also would need to be sturdy and fairly weather resistant similar the existing 7-pin connector system, but much higher current capacity. Can you recommend a suitable connector system for this DC connection? Regards,

We have just what you need with a winch wiring kit like the 1 gauge part # BDW20348 which comes with wiring designed for applications like yours that can carry much higher amperage than a 7-way.
I attached a review video for this kit for you to check out as well.
