Will Roadmaster Wiring Kit 15267 Provide 12 Volts to 6 Way of 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Question:

I am connecting a MH 7 way plug to a vehicle 6 way Roadmaster 15267. I want to bring constant power from the MH to the vehicle to power a Patriot braking system. To do that it appears I need to use socket #4 on the MH 7 way. However, the #4 socket does not appear to match anything on the 6 way vehicle side? To solve this, can I move the #4 wire on the 7 way side to the #7 socket center socket? The #7 socket on the MH matches to the #2 socket on the vehicle side, which I can then use to provide power to the Patriot. Any problems with that approach?

Ok, I believe I know what you are saying because the instructions from the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 for your 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee make it seem like you may need to switch wires to get pins to match up, but that is not the case. The 12 volt circuit from the 7-way is wired to the center pin of the 6-way on the wiring kit, so you do not need to move any wires, it will work. The reason it is like this is because on vehicle side 6 ways, the center pin is the 12 volt, as you can see by the linked help article on wiring I added for you. I also added a link to a video showing the install of the Flexo Wiring Kit on a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
