What's the best parts I need for towing my 2020 Cherokee Trailhawk behind my motorhome. I know I need a tow bar and wiring and a base plate but is there anything else I need to accomplish this? Thanks

To flat tow your 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. We have all of these parts here so you only have to make a one-stop trip! I recommend going with a Demco setup because they have really clean looking base plate kits and some of the best tow bars on the market. Here is a list of the parts you'll need for the best flat towing setup:

Demco Tow Bar Combo Kit - # DM9523057
SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO - # SM99251 (Motorhome with hydraulic brakes)
OR
SMI Air Force One - # SM99243 (Motorhome with air brakes)

Some models of this vehicle may use Mortorq® fasteners. If your vehicle has these types of fasteners, you will need a PFMTS2E bit to remove them which can be ordered through a Snap-On dealer.

The Dominator tow bar has some adjustment with the head so you actually won't need a high-low adapter. I have attached a number of installation videos including one for the Roadmaster Diode Kit # RM-15267 because it is the same as the wiring that comes with the Demco tow bar combo kit. I like the combo kit over the Roadmaster diode system because the kit comes with the wiring as well as a cover and locks for the tow bar.

Along with all of this information it is always best to consult your copy of the owner's manual to ensure that you set everything up properly each time you flat tow your Trailhawk.
