Replacement 3,500 Pound Hubs and Trailer Axle with 94" Hub Length
Question:
I have a 2004 Big Tex 16foot car trailer dual axle. Wheel bearing came apart on the road and ruined the hub and axle. The front trailer axle i believe is a 3,500 lb axle. It measures 80inch spring center and 94inch hub face measurement, 5 on 4 3/4inch wheel stud idler hubs. The axle is 2 1/2inch diameter round tube with #84 spindle. it has flange for brakes on the axle. The rear axle has electric brakes. wheel bearings in the hubs are L68149 inner, L44649 outer. the back of the Dexter Idler hub is 8-256 AF6. only numbers readable on the sticker on the axle is D35 upper left , on the lower right 37437 9/11/2003 line 1

I'm sorry to hear about your recent mishap! I'm not sure which of the two axles and hubs on your trailer are in need of replacement but we have exactly what you need for either!
To start, for the axle itself the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam # 7359765 will work perfectly. This axle features a 95" hub face length and a 80" spring center length, matching the existing axles on your trailer really well. The extra inch on the hub length won't cause any issues.
Then for replacement idler hubs with the same 5 on 4-3/4" bolt pattern you can use the Dexter # 845475UC1-EZ. These 3,500 pound hubs are compatible with the above-mentioned axle and include all the bearings ( # L68149 and # L44649 like you mentioned), races, and seal.
For hub and drum assemblies you can use the Dexter # 845476UC3-EZ, which again includes all the needed bearings.
For the actual electric brake assemblies you will use the Dexter # 23-27 for the Right Hand and # 23-26 for the Left Hand.
I have attached a few short installation videos on these products that you might also find helpful.
