B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 Long Bed

I really like B&W stuff and am very interested in the Patriot 5th wheel hitch for my 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD long bed. I see that there are two of them, one with an 18K capacity and one with a 16K capacity. Which one is the right one for my truck and what rails do you think are best?

The B&W Patriot 5th wheel trailer hitch that is the best option for your 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD is going to depend on the weight of your trailer because both the 16,000 lb capacity B&W Patriot # BWRVK3200 and 18,000 lb capacity B&W Patriot # BWRVK3255 will work. And according to my research, your '20 Sierra is capable of towing up to that capacity depending on its configuration.
Personally, I like a little bit of a safety margin, so for a trailer that has a GVWR up to about 14,500 lbs or so, I recommend the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3200 with its 16,000 lb capacity.
For a trailer that has a GVWR over 14,500 lbs I recommend the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3255 with its 18,000 lb capacity. This is an extremely sturdy, very well-built hitch that is made with the quality B&W is really well-known for. It has beefy steel jaws which attach to your king pin and grip it so completely there isn't going to be any rattling, shaking or jarring like you'd experience with lesser hitches, giving you a comfortable ride.
In regards to the base rail kit for your 2020 Sierra 2500HD I strongly recommend the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Chevy/GMC Truck # C16429-204 because they do not require any drilling into your frame rails to install. This is not only great for your truck but also means the installation is going to be simpler and take much less time than a universal kit. Using this kit will benefit you whether you are doing the install yourself (saving hours) or having a professional do it (less install time equals less expensive labor costs).
