Do Holes in the Frame of a 2016 Chevy Silverado 3500 get Used for Install of Fifth Wheel Rails

Question:

I just bought a new 2016 Silverado 3500 drw diesel. I noticed that there is four threaded holes on each side of the frame above the rear wheels. Do you know what these holes are for? Is there a certain hitch that uses these holes? Thank you!

Some of the holes that you referenced on the side of the truck frame are used for the install of a custom fit set of fifth wheel trailer rails. None of the threaded holes would be used though.

The part # C16411-204 is a rail kit that will fit your truck that does use some of those holes.

I attached a picture that shows the brackets of the kit installing through the frame plus a link to an install video for more info as well.
