Can a 1-1/4 to 2 Inch Hitch Adapter be Used on a Trailer Hitch for a 2012 VW New Beetle Turbo

i have a Hollywood bike carrier... 2. Would a 1 1/4 to 2inch adapter work with the Draw-Tite?

All of the trailer hitches for the 2012 Volkswagen New Beetle, turbo, are Class I trailer hitches with a 1-1/4 inch receiver. To use a 2 inch accessory like your bike rack, you would have to use a 1-1/4 to 2 inch adapter, # HTAD.
The use of an adapter will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent. So the reduced capacity would be 75 pounds for hitch # C11354. The combined weight of the bike rack and the bikes loaded on it cannot exceed 75 pounds.
Also, since this is a Class I trailer hitch, you are limited to carrying a maximum of 2 bikes. Carrying more than that would produce too much torque on the receiver and damage the hitch and vehicle.
If you needed to carry more than 2 bikes you could use a trunk mount bike rack. I have included a link to all of the trunk mount bike racks that will fit a 2012 VW New Beetle hardtop. For instance, the Yakima FullBack 3 # Y02633 is a confirmed fit and will carry 3 bikes.
