Parts Needed to Upgrade Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution from 1,200 lb Spring Bars to 1,400 lb
Question:
I currently have a 2018 Forest River WolfPack 24pack14+ with a tongue weight rating of 1015. I have an onboard generator in the front, two propane tanks, and a battery, all adding weight to the tongue. I currently have the 12k version of the Equalizer weight distribution hitch. The shank states that it is rated for 14,000 pounds, but the bars state, 12,000 pounds. Is it possible to simply upgrade the bars to 14,000 bars? I believe that I could possibly be overweight for my hitch.

Yes, you can upgrade the spring bars that the weight distribution system of your Equal-i-Zer kit to a higher rating. What you need is the higher rated bars part # EQ90-01-1499 and the replacement head part # EQ90-02-1400. The heads and the bars have to be swapped together since they are all different sizes.
