I can tell you how to measure to determine how much ground clearance you will have with the Curt hitch # 13085 installed on your 2002 Ford Windstar. First, take a look at the installation instructions I have linked for you to see the installation location on the van.
If you measure from the bottom of the frame at the rear most attachment point down 6-3/8 inches, that will be where the bottom of the receiver will be. When parked on level ground, measure up from the ground to this point to determine how much ground clearance you will have.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK4. It comes with a ball mount, interchangeable ball set, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag. For trailer wiring, use # HM40615 if build date is before November 2002, or 118305 of built after October 2002. I have included some links that explain the installation of the wiring as well
