Solution for EcoHitch Rattling Against Exhaust on 2017 Subaru WRX
Question:
I just installed this hitch and it is causing rattling from the exhaust hanger coming in contact with the hitch frame. What is the best way to stop this rattle, is it likely hitch positioning or exhaust hanger adjustment? Who typically might adjust the exhaust hanger for me? A muffler shop?

The exhaust rattle you're getting with the EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7257 in place on your Subaru WRX actually isn't too uncommon and there are a few simple ways to resolve this. We actually have a great article dedicated to exact this subject, which I have attached below.
The easiest solution is to simply bend the exhaust hanger a bit to provide more clearance between it and the hitch. You can just use a pair of vice grips or some pliers to manipulate the hangers so you can raise or lower the exhaust. If you don't feel comfortable doing this a local mechanic or muffler shop can certainly take care of this.
The mentioned article includes a few more possible solutions as well that you can check out.
