How to Use Thule T2 Classic Bike Rack With 2-1/2 Inch Hitch
Question:
So I have a Thule Classic 2 rack - it was originally on my Nissan Rogue with a 2 inch receiver that I had installed. Good Bye Rogue, Hello 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with a CLASS V hitch. The Thule is in storage as I have moved, but its time to break out the bikes. The problem is that a Class V hitch receiver is 2-1/2 inch - and the Thule threaded locking pin is for a 2 inch receiver. Is there a threaded locking pin for a Class V receiver available? OR....in the alternative, can I just put a regular Hitch pin through the holes and try to ignore the rattling?

We have the perfect way for you to use your Thule T2 Pro XTR 2-Bike Rack # TH69TX with the 2-1/2" hitch on your 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD.
All you need is the Brophy Hitch Reducer and Extender - 2-1/2" to 2" Trailer Hitch - 7" Long # HR26 which will not only give you a 2" receiver so you can use your Thule bike rack, but will also add 7" to your set up so that you may be able to open the tailgate on your truck with the bike rack in the hitch, like in the accompanying photo.
I have added a link to a video review of this reducer for you to check out as well.
