Individual Leg Operation of Lippert Ground Control Electric Leveling System and Dead Battery

Question:

1. I am leaving 5th wheel in storage for 9 months and battery will be dead. Will system work by being plugged into truck? 2. When your instructions say, Push Front button to extend front landing gear jacksinch or push left and right buttons together, inch is it push and hold or just push them once and they stop on their own?

If your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System w Touchpad and Remote - 4-Point Set # LC358590 will have a dead battery, you will not be able to work the system by connecting to your truck. Your truck will only provide a trickle charge to your trailer battery and will not be enough to power that system if the battery is completely dead. It will need more than just connecting to your truck 7-way to get your battery to a working level for that system.

When you are using the basic extend feature versus the auto level feature, you will press and hold them until they are the desired height. You manually extend one jack by simultaneously holding the front or rear button and either the left or right side button. You can manually extend the both front jacks simultaneously by holding the "front" button or the rear jacks simultaneously holding the "rear" button. You cannot extend all 4 jacks at the same time in basic jack operation mode.

If you are able to plug in your battery while in storage, I recommend the charger and maintainer # 329-GENIUS5.
