Recommended Equalizer, Leaf Spring, and Hardware for 2005 Weekend Warrior Suspension System Upgrade
Question:
Hello all, We are interested and changing out our leaf springs, equalizers and associated hardware on our 2005 Weekend Warrior toy hauler, triple Axle, 18,000lbs to improve the ride and hold the weight with a sand rail inside and without the large cargo weight. Never had a problem, but don’t want to push it either 14 years old with the suspension. What would be a good choice of replacement parts and part numbers to complete this project? We have 7 ¾ x 1 ¾” factory equalizers CPL China, 3” axle’s are 35” apart with 7 ¾ U-bolts holding the 26”x1 ¾” Leaf springs. Do they come with sides or do you have to order two sets in the equalizers?

For your upgrade in trailer suspension on your triple axle Weekend Warrior toy hauler I recommend the E-Z Flex Triple Axle Suspension Kit with 7-3/4" Equalizers # K71-657-00. This kit comes with all the equalizers and hardware you need. Then you will use the 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles - 26" Long # e94SR and I recommend upgrading your axle u-bolts to the # APUBR-9.
You will use the following quantities:
1-E-Z Flex Kit
6-Leaf Springs
3-U-bolt Kits
This update and upgrade will definitely give you more stability, comfort, and peace of mind when towing your Sand Rail Dune Buggy.
