Replacement Leaf Spring Recommendation for Trailer with 25-1/8 inch Springs and 2k Capacity
Question:
Im under my trailer measuring a double eye spring hanger with the spring still on the trailer and cant tell if the measurement is 25 1/8 or 25 1/4 from eye to eye. Does it need to be that exact. Also my GAWR per axle is 1905. I saw on your website that you should also measure the distance from the frame to the belly of the spring distance B. I dont know how accurate mine would be because of sag of the old springs and they are not the originals and when the previous owner replaced them he put on shackles and a 27 inch spring. If I gave you the make of the trailer and the vin # would that help?

Most likely the measurement is 25-1/8 inch as that is a common size. But in most cases we recommend measuring the spring with it off the trailer and typically there is a bit of stretch to old springs by around 1/2 inch or so.
The spring you would want is the part # e66SR as it matches the capacity needed closely and it has a length of 25-1/8 inches like you have.
When picking out leaf springs priority one is picking out the correct capacity and then finding a spring that is close to it as possible in length. Sometimes a hanger or two needs to get moved.
