Basically, if the bed rail height of your 2018 Ram 2500 is at 60" tall then the distance from the ground to the bottom of the loft on the trailer while level will need to be 66" or very close. The pin box most likely has the ability to be adjusted vertically with different bolt holes on the wing set. However, if these adjustments are not available or still don't allow you to achieve 66" from the ground to the bottom of the loft on the trailer while level then you will need to an axle flip kit like part # K71-384-00 for 2-3/8" diameter axles or part # K71-385-00 for 3" diameter axles. The axle flip kit will reposition the leaf springs over the axle and will raise the trailer the diameter of your axle plus the height of your leaf spring stack and perch.

Then once you get the trailer to 66" from the ground to the bottom of the loft you can then measure from the bottom of the pin box on the trailer to the bottom of the bed on the truck. The 5th wheel hitch you select will need to fill this gap. The good news is that the 5th wheel hitches we offer all offer vertical adjustments. The two favorites I have are the Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16046 which offers height adjustments from 14" - 18" and the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch part # BWRVK3600 which offers height adjustments from 17" - 19".

I have attached a review video of each 5th wheel hitch for you. Unfortunately, I don't have any specifics on the Jayco 2019 Eagle HT 28.5RSTS or 30.5CKTS so I cannot give exact specs.
