Troubleshooting Wiring Harness Installation for 2013 Infiniti JX35
Question:
I messed up. I send a question and you graciously answered. However I included the wrong model number. Can I please try again. 2013 Infiniti JX 35. Installing Curt 56281 trailer light connector. Kit has 2 extra relays the instructions state connect under front hood behind front headlights. I’ve looked in all fuse/relay boxes. Can’t find location for them. Please advise if they are needed and if so where to find location. Thanks

We are happy to help with getting you the correct parts for your vehicle.
For your 2013 Infinity JX35, the Curt wiring harness # C56281 you referenced is the correct fit for a factory replacement. The relays you need to install are not in the 6x6 fuse box according to my tech contact but rather in the small box by the firewall that is about 1-1/2 by 6 inches and has a black cover you will remove. It unfortunately is not quite as easy to get to and you may want to test the harness to see if they aren't already installed and the wiring functional since this is a replacement harness. Curt doesn't have any pictures to assist with this part, so that is all he could really do to assist.
If you can't determine the location based on those instructions, there are other wiring kits you may choose to use instead that are more straight-forward. You can instead use the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter Kit with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56190KIT which is a confirmed to fit your vehicle. This wiring harness will not have the relays you mentioned as they are not needed. I've attached a couple videos of the installation to assist on your vehicle.
