Roof Rack, Basket and Kayak Carrier Recommendation for 2018 Jeep Compass with Flush Rails  

Question:

I recently purchased a 2018 Jeep compass Trailhawk with the full moonroof. Im looking to add a roof basket and also an option to carry my kayak without removing the roof basket. I would also require cross bars would you be able to recommended set up for me please.

Thanks for the picture of the flush rails you have on the roof of your 2018 Jeep Compass. For a roof rack to fit your vehicle the Yakima Corebar Crossbar Rack part # Y00421, # Y53TR, and # Y00245 is what I recommend. This rack gives you an easy to install rack with aero shaped bars which means you'll experience minimal wind noise from the rack.

Then for a roof basket the Yakima LoadWarrior part # Y07070 would fit well and since it's 39 inches wide it would allow you to also fit a kayak carrier as well. The Yakima JayLow kayak carrier part # Y04073 would then be a great option for that. It's padded, can fold down when not in use, and is easy to load and unload.
