Installing Aftermarket Brake Controller on a 2018 Ford F-150 Without Pins for Brake Controller Fuse

Question:

Thank you. You gave a great response. Would I be able to use the Curt wireless model with my truck and not have to run any wires?

Since you don't have the pins in the fuse position 24 that means you will need to use the Kit # 5506 to install the Prodigy P3 # 90195 with the Adapter # 22292 on your 2018 Ford F-150. For some reason Ford doesn't always have that 24 location pinned for a brake controller so there are a few extra steps that you need to take to power your brake controller.

These are actually highlighted in the attached installation video starting at about the 8:40 mark.

As long as the 7-Way on your F-150 has the 12V power operational (pin in the 1 o'clock position) then you can use the Curt Echo # C51180 without running any wiring on your pickup. Just be sure that you have an Apple device that has an OS which is 8.0 or newer or an Android device that has an OS which is 4.4 and newer and you are good to go!
