Recommended Trailer Hitch with 500 Pound Tongue Weight Capacity for GeoPro Trailer

Question:

I’m looking for a 2” receiver hitch to mount a storage rack that will carry a small generator and cooler. I would prefer a 500lbs tongue rating if possible. Can you recommend the appropriate setup for my GeoPro 19FBS? Thanks for your help.

For your 2019 Rockwood Geo Pro 19FBS I recommend the Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13702 as long as the frame width on your trailer is 18 to 51 inches. This adjustable hitch is designed specifically for trailers like yours and it does feature a 500 pound tongue weight capacity. It can be bolted on with the included hardware or welded on for a no-drill application.

I have included the written installation instructions that you can take a look at as well.

If you don't yet have a cargo carrier the Reese # 63153 is a great option. It has inside/usable dimensions of 60 inches long, 24 inches wide, and 5-1/2 inches deep. Its 500 pound weight capacity matches that of the hitch and the mesh floor and raised rails provide plenty of tie-down points. I have attached a video demonstration on this carrier along with a link that will take you to our complete selection.
