Will Safety Chain Loops from B&W Turnover Hitch Interfere with Demco Base Rail Adapter # DM6140
Question:
do safety SIDE chain hook-ups hinder installion of goose neck plate

Expert Reply:
If the safety chain loops on your B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitch are located a bit behind the ball, such as with the part # BWGNRK1313 that is designed for your Dodge Ram, then you will likely need to remove them for the Demco Base Rail Adapter # DM6140 to mount without issue.
I have attached a short video review on this adapter plate that you can also check out.
If you don't yet have a 5th wheel hitch that you plan on using with the adapter a better solution is with the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3500-5W if you have the 8 foot bed or the Slider version part # BWRVK3400-5W if you have the short 6-1/2 foot bed. This hitch will attach directly to the B&W Gooseneck Hitch you already have installed to provide you with one of the best 5th wheel hitches on the market. This eliminates the need for a separate adapter plate and will allow you to switch between gooseneck and 5th wheel towing with ease.
I have attached a couple video demonstrations on these hitches that you can take a look at as well.
