Comparing the Curt and Draw-Tite Front Hitch for a 1996 Chevrolet K1500

I was looking to buy a front receiver hitch. I have a 1996 chevy 1500 extended cab 4x4 and was wondering which hitch would fit best.

We currently have two front mount trailer hitch receivers for your 1996 Chevrolet K1500, the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65005 and the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 31042. They both have a 9,000 lb line pull and 500 lb vertical load weight capacity. They also both install using three holes on each side.
The main difference between them is that the Curt hitch hangs down more. This means it will be more visible but it also means that if you have the lower plastic fascia on your bumper, there won't be as much trimming required when compared to the Draw-Tite hitch which has a cleaner look but could in turn require more trimming.
The Curt hitch is also made in the USA.
