Does Curt Front Hitch 31042 Require Fascia Trimming on 1997 Chevy Suburban
Question:
Im trying to determine how low the top of the 2 inch receiver tube will be. Would it require trimming the fascia trim under the bumper? What is the distance from the top of the part that bolts to the frame of the vehicle to the bottom of the cross member that is welded to the 2inch receiver tube?

Nope, you do not have to do any bumper fascia trimming on your 1997 Chevy Suburban to install the Curt Front Mount Hitch # 31042.
You don't have to do any drilling, either so it's just a bolt-on installation. As for clearance, from the top of the brackets to the bottom of the tube it is 4 inches.
