Troubleshooting Display of Tekonsha Primus IQ that Shows Single Dot on Display
Question:
Hi. You posted an answer to another another question After installing your Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 you should see the following two-digit display: n.c. which means power to brake controller without trailer connected. This displays for 15 seconds then changes to two dots . . . My controller was working ok until a friend took it out and out it back in. I would like to know what the problem is if the n.c. isnt coming on. It will come on when I press the manual button, but only then. Now it only has one dot on the display. This dot stays on even when the cars ignition is off. When the trailer is attached, the .c appears. Does this mean its working ok?

Most likely the controller is out of level since it was removed and reinstalled. Try either lowering the front if it sits up high or lowering the front if it sits low so that the controller sits as level as possible. I attached a picture that shows the range that the controller needs to install to perform like it should.
