Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for 2018 Honda HR-V
Question:
Which bike rack and trailer htich is best for 2018 HRV. 2 beach cruisers and I want to leave the rack on the car all summer long because we ride a lot.

I recommend the EcoHitch trailer hitch, part # 306-X7322, for your 2018 Honda HR-V. I like how the cross tube is completely hidden behind the rear bumper and also the receiver is a 2 inch which accepts a larger variety of accessories. The cost is higher and the install is more involved but in the end I think you'll be happier with the EcoHitch over the other options. I've attached a picture that shows what it looks like when installed.
A great bike rack for you is the Saris Freedom, part # SA4412B. It's good for beach cruisers because for one they tend to be on the heavy side and the rack and handle up to 60 pound bikes. Also cruisers often have fenders and non-traditional shaped frames. The Freedom holds holds bikes by the frame using adjustable clamps that fit most bike frames. It also includes a lock for the rack, and it folds up against the Honda so it'll be out of the way when you're not carrying any bikes. I've linked a video that demonstrates the rack for you.
