The available 1-1/4-inch Class I hitch options for your 2019 Jetta include the Curt round tube hitch # C11540 and the Draw-Tite model # 24978. The Curt offers easier installation but its cross tube will be visible under the bumper cover. The Draw-Tite hitch installation requires removal of the entire bumper fascia and the bumper itself but gives you a much more discrete appearance once installed. Both hitches include all of the required mounting hardware and detailed instructions, which are linked for your reference, along with a helpful hitch installation article. Do note that if you use a bike rack or other Class I accessory in the Curt hitch you must use their support strap # 18050 to help stabilize that load. If your intended application for the hitch is to allow use of a hitch-type bike rack you can review the linked page that shows you all racks compatible with a Class I hitch. You are limited to 2-bike racks in a Class I hitch.

Electric bikes are becoming quite popular these days but their typically high weight means many bike racks cannot handle them since most racks top out at 35-lbs per bike.
