What Does ICF Technology for Trailer Wheel AM22658HWT Mean

Question:

This wheel advertises ICF technology, but does not really say exactly what it does. I am upgrading my RV from 15inch to 16inch G rated tires and I am considering this wheel. Will the workinch for me? I am wondering if ICF means it needs a special kind of drum, or some other mating part?

The ICF (Improved Clamp Force) technology of the Aluminum Split Spoke Wheel part # AM22658HWT refers to the precise fit of the back side of the wheel to the trailer's hub face, the result of careful machining and finishing. This allows you to only have to torque the lug nuts of the wheel once with the initial install and then you're set.

The Provider ST235/85R16 tire part # TTWPRG235R16 is a great option for a Load Range G tire too. It has a capacity of 4,400 lb max load at 110 psi and would fit the wheel you referenced well.
