Economical Weight Distribution System for 3,000 Pound Trailer
Question:
Weight Distributing Hitch... for a 2017 Jeep Wrangler. I'm wanting to order one thats not too heavy, The tongue weight of a small trailer is less than 350#. The trailer weight is less than 3000#. What are my choices... Looking for lower priced kits. Prices, part #s and options??? I will hopefully be ordering a hitch...I have a tire on the back bumper. Thanks,

When picking out a weight distribution hitch the most important factor to consider is your total tongue weight. This number includes both the loaded tongue weight of your trailer plus any added cargo you have stored behind the rear axle of your Jeep Wrangler. Ideally this number will fall somewhere near the middle of the operating range for the system you choose.
You mentioned a tongue weight of less than 350 pounds and a total trailer weight of less than 3,000 pounds. If these weights are with the trailer fully loaded I recommend taking a look at the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System # FA92-00-0600. This is a really nice, economically priced system that features a tongue weight capacity range of 250 to 600 pounds. It will do a great job of evenly distributing weight over the axles of your Jeep and trailer and its integrated 2-Point Sway Control will limit side-to-side movement.
This system includes the adjustable shank so the only thing you will need to add (if you don't have one already) is a compatible hitch ball like the 2 inch # EQ91-00-6080. Pricing information will be listed on the product pages.
I have attached a short video demonstration that you can check out along with the written installation instructions.
