How To Measure To Ensure Proper Weight Distribution System Setup
Question:
Im wondering if the measurement will be different between measuring the unhooked trailer at the ball vs measurement at the jack with the trailer hooked up to the tow vehicle with the WDH engaged? this might be a dumb question :- But I understand that the WDH will distribute the weight across the TV, tongue and trailer axle. So it would seem that this scale would provide information on if your WDH is properly configured. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The owner's manual for the weight distribution system should have a section that details how to check that the system is setup and adjusted properly. This is usually done using a series of measurements of the tow vehicle loaded/unloaded. I have attached a clip below which is from the instructions for the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems like part # EQ37040ET.
I am not aware of anyway to verify setup using standard scales.
