Starting with the trailer hitch I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Round Tube Receiver Hitch # 75758. This Class III hitch is confirmed to fit your 2018 Ford Escape and will use existing holes in its frame for a no-drill installation. It will provide you with a 2 inch receiver opening and has a 4,500 pound towing weight capacity. I also recommend verifying the towing limits of your Escape by looking through the towing section of your owner's manual. You will just need to follow whichever capacity is lower, the vehicle's or the hitch's.
I have attached an installation video on this vehicle that you can use for reference.
Then for a 4-Way wiring harness the Curt T-Connector # C56320 will work perfectly. The custom harness will install by plugging into factory ports behind the tail lights and then running a hot lead up to the vehicle's battery. I have again attached an installation video that you can check out.
In order to tow a trailer you will also need a ball mount and hitch ball. I have attached a great article that explains how to choose the best one for your setup along with a link that will take you to our available selection.
