I am attaching a picture from the instructions for the Draw-Tite # 75600 for you to reference when removing the rear bumper fascia on your 2018 BMW X5.
You will need to remove some pop rivets, fascia screws, reflectors, screws behind the reflectors, and some retaining clips to completely remove the rear bumper fascia. This is detailed in the linked instructions and the installation video on a 2017 X5 for you to reference.
