Lift Kit for a 2014 Lance Lance 1985 Travel Trailer

Question:

Hi, Im interested in purchasing a lift kit for my 2014 Lance 1985 camper trailer with tandem axles because the rear end occasionally bottoms out on my driveway. According to Lance, my trailer has Dexter Torflex axles Lance part SC160-225 with a rated capacity of 3,500lbs BAL/ NORCO frame. I researche lift kits and found Lance offers a 7inch lift kit, but that is too high. I was searching your website and found the Dexter Torflex lift kit K71-707-02 for #10 tandem axles that offers 2 5/8 of lift, which is perfect. I havent found any additional information regarding compatibility with my trailer or success stories from Lance owners installing this kit. I would like to know if it is compatible before ordering? If not, would you please recommend a kit. Thank You. Regards

Though we have not yet installed the Torflex Lift Kit on a 2014 Lance Lance 1985 Travel Trailer, if you have 3,500 lb Torflex Axles I can confirm that the Torflex Lift Kit part # K71-707-02 will work for you so long as you do not have 3" tall brackets. This kit as you mentioned will raise the trailer about 2-5/8". It is currently the only lift kit we offer for a torsion axle trailer.

I have attached a review video for you as well.

Does this kit work with a 2014.5 (late 2014/early 2015 model year, pre-facelift) Lance 2185 trailer? I know the 2016+ Lance 2185 trailers use this or a similar kit from the factory, but no lift was available on the 2015 and prior models. Lance says they do not sell a kit.

Is there by chance an information tag/sticker on the axle itself that lists a model? I want to be absolute sure this will work for you.
