Installing Class III Trailer Hitch on 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon

Question:

I can usually find the installation video to your products on the products main page, but I can’t seem to find the video for this hitch on a 2018 Subaru Outback. I have previously bought a hitch for my daughters Nissan Rogue from you, and the thing that sold me was watching the video and knowing I can do the work myself. Is there a video for installing this hitch on a 2018 Outback? If so, please send the link. I need to see what the installation looks like to make my purchase decision. Thanks

The Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 76227 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon. We do not yet have (as of August 2018) an installation video for this hitch on your vehicle. I have attached the complete written installation instructions that you can take a look at. I will say that this is a relatively extensive installation process that includes the temporary removal of the bumper/fascia along with some fascia trimming. We actually rate it as a 10/10 for difficulty with an estimated installation time of around 2 hours.

We do also have the Draw-Tite Class III Hitch # 75673 that is confirmed to fit the 2018 Subaru Outback as well but it doesn't have quite as involved an installation. It will require some drilling but it has an estimated installation time of just around 1 hour. It features the same 4,000 pound towing weight and 600 pound tongue weight capacity as the hitch you were looking at.

We do have an installation video for this particular hitch on your exact 2018 model Outback, which I have attached. You can take a look at this video to see if you are comfortable performing the installation on your own. I have attached the written instructions for this hitch that you can check out as well.
