Should All Trailer Leaf Springs be Replaced at Same Time

Question:

I have a 2014 forest river 26dbh patriot edition camper. I am needing to replace at least 2 of my leaf springs. I know my axles are 3500lb capacity 2 3/8 diameter. Is it best to replace all leafs springs for both axles or just one axle? The current springs are 4 leafs. i am also looking to do a axle flip kit. Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit Item # K71-384-00 Is this the correct kit for my application? Thanks

Your best solution is to replace all leaf springs at the same time with the exact same spring. This will ensure everything rides as predictably as possible and prevent one axle from hanging lower than the other based on different thickness leaf springs. For 3,500 lb axles the part # K71-384-00 is the correct over-under kit.

We have a few 3,500 lbs springs too. For a length of 25-1/8 inch you'd want the part # e54SR, for 27 inch # SP-210275, and for 23-1/8 inch # e59SR.
