Replacement 4-Way Trailer Connector and Ground Wire
Question:
I have a boat trailer no lights work has a flat four wire plug .The white wire is broke on the trailer side do I just need to replace the plug

Expert Reply:
The white wire on a 4-way trailer connector is usually for the ground. The reason your lights are not working is because this connection is severed. If you cannot re-attach the wire using a butt connector like part # DW05744-5 then you can replace the 4-way with part # HM48192. If a new ground wire needs to be ran you can use part # DW02359-1 (per foot), part # DW05737-1, and part # FA1131822. The ring terminal will need to be attached to a bare metal surface free of paint.
I have attached a review video of the 4-way for you as well.
