Converting a Vehicle with a 4-Way Trailer Connector to Tow a Boat with a 5-Way Connector
Question:
My vehicle is equipped with a 4-wire connector and my boat trailer has a 5-wire connector. Do you sell an adapter or a kit that can be used to convert the car side?

Yes we do. Use part # 20036. It plugs into the existing 4-way on your vehicle for the lighting functions and adds an additional wire that needs to be connected for whatever purpose your fifth pin on the trailer is for. It's likely an electric lock out for a brake actuator which means you connect the blue wire to the reverse lights on your vehicle.
Before you get a wiring adapter you should know (assuming you don't already) that if the fifth pin on your boat's trailer isn't needed the 4- and 5-way connectors you have will plug into each other. You just won't have that extra function.
