Hi, there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this K Source replacement side view mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on several different years and makes of vehicles, including the 2003 through 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe, the Cadillac Escalade and the GMC Sierra and Yukon, as well as the Yukon XL. This is also going to work for the 2007 GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado Classic model. So if you have any of those, this is going to be modeled after those manufacturers' original look and fit. So you really shouldn't be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror.

It should look like it came with your vehicle right from the factory so you don't have to worry about that pieced together from the junkyard sort of look. This is going to look very integrated with your system and give you that complete look. Again, it's also going to have the same footprint as the original mirror so it is gonna be very easy to get installed. You're not gonna have to drill new holes or anything like that, and the mirror will plug into your existing electrical wiring. That's gonna give you your power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle.

It's also going to give the heated mirror glass function so that it's gonna help clear frost and ice and reduce fogging. We're also going to have the red LED arrow here in the mirror face that's gonna light up when your turn signal is activated and those are high intensity Muth LEDs that are gonna be brighter than standard turn signal lights. This is also going to have the power folding capability that will allow you to fold the mirror in using the control inside your vehicle. The mirror will also fold in when struck. If you we're to hit a parking post or the side of your garage or something like that, to help deter breakage.

But it's also got that power folding capability so you can do that on your own before you get to that point. It also is going to have the puddle lamp that's going to illuminate the area under the mirror, and it will also work with the memory function of your vehicle so that your car's computer will recognize the preset mirror positions that you like. So this is going to have all those capabilities but it will only work with your vehicle. And if your vehicle already has those same functions this isn't going to add any of those capabilities to a vehicle that doesn't already have those capabilities. One thing that this mirror does not support is the auto-dimming function.

So if your original mirror did have that auto-dimming, this will not support that. So it might be a little bit less functional than your original, but it's still gonna have a whole lot of those capabilities and look very integrated with the rest of your system. This is going to be an OE grade product so it is going to have high quality materials. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome so it is gonna give you a nice clear image. It is a flat lens like most driver's side mirrors so it is gonna give you a true representation of the object's size behind you. It does have a durable plastic housing with a black finish on it. And for those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work for your vehicle this is going to be a replacement for the original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So if you're going through your owner's manual or when you take off your original factory mirror, if you see that number anywhere, you can trust this is gonna be the replacement that you need.
