Can a Timbren Axle-Less System Replace Just 1 Axle on Trailer with Tandem Torsion Axles

Can I replace only the rear suspension on my RV and leave the well functioning front Al-Ko torsion axle installed? Will they work on the same frame? FYI: This unit will go for 1 long trip to destination and thereafter travel minimal distance once a year.

Because the "spring rate" is going to be different between a torsion axle and a Timbren Axle-Less system such as # A20RS545 you would want to replace both axles. Otherwise it could have negative effects on how the trailer handles, its stability, as well as tire wear.

Since you want to use a larger wheel size you'd need to go with the higher rated Timbren Axle Less kit part #A35RS545. The wheel flange on the smaller hubs of the other kit can't accommodate the larger wheel diameters.
