Recommended Trailer Hitch Reducer for 2-1/2 Inch Class V to Fit 2 Inch Ball Mount and Accessories
Question:
Hope all is well your way. I need some help determining hitch sleeve reducer for my new truck. 2017 F250 XLT. Hitch is class 5. Current opening measures 2 1/2”. My shank and ball is 2”. Please let me know if you can help with this. Thanks

To reduce the trailer hitch receiver from a 2-1/2 inch opening to a 2 inch opening for your ball mount, you will simply need the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve - 2-1/2" to 2" # C45405 for your 2017 Ford F-250 XLT.
This will work for ball mounts and accessories like cargo carriers. If you will be using a weight distribution system, I recommend replacing your shank with one made for 2-1/2 inch hitch receivers like # C17131 instead of using a reducer for safety.
